Erin C. Buckley

WRITEr | DIRECTOR | PRODUCER

Erin is a writer-director whose digital series PLATONIC is available on YouTube now (platonicseries.com). The New York Times called the series “a bite-size version of ‘Girls’ or ‘High Maintenance’” and AfterEllen said, "With mellow lighting and a lively soundtrack, Buckley created an aesthetic worthy of Sofia Coppola – and on an infinitely smaller budget.” PLATONIC was nominated for The 2021 Queerties for Best Digital Series, and lead actor Summer Spiro was nominated for Best Performance | Digital Series. Erin’s short film CC DANCES THE GO-GO premiered at Frameline and has played at festivals nationally and internationally from 2020 to 2022. Erin won the 2020 Alan Ira Dusowitz Award for Best Emerging Filmmaker of Short Film at TIGLFF. She was a fellow at MacDowell in September 2019. Her original scripts include ASHRAM, PRODUCT, SISTREN, SECOND ACT PROBLEMS, OLDER LADY, PLATONIC, CC DANCES THE GO-GO, GUIDANCE, & STARF*CKER. Erin was raised by an actress and trained as an actor; in Erin’s projects, roles for actresses are plentiful and female and LGBTQ+ stories are primary. MFA: Yale School of Drama. Rebecca Whitehurst – CC | choreographer

Rebecca Whitehurst has worked around the globe as a theater artist—Equity actor, dancemaker, teacher, writer, and director. She received her BA in Philosophy from Stanford and then attended the CalArts MFA Program in Choreography before embarking on a professional career with Diavolo Dance Theater. Freelancing as an actor and choreographer in New York City led her to The Institute for Advanced Theater Training MXAT/A.R.T. at Harvard, where she received an MFA in Acting. While on a Fulbright Scholarship to Russia, Rebecca spent a year doing research, guest teaching and choreographing for actors at the Moscow Art Theatre School. Currently, she is Assistant Professor of Practice for Acting, Voice, and Movement in the Department of Theatre at Northern Arizona University. Her research focuses on Russian movement training for the actor, Tanztheater, philosophy & dance, and interdisciplinary collaboration & creation.

Aysan Celik – Nicky

Aysan Celik’s screen credits include the award-winning independent films THE BROOKLYN HEIST and MR. LAMB and the web series DOG DAYS and WGA-nominated DOWNSIZED. A stage actor for over 20 years, her New York credits include City Center, BAM, The Public, New York Theater Workshop, Classic Stage, 59E59, and Soho Rep. She is a member of the Obie Award-winning company The Civilians and a founding member of Theater Mitu. Her recent theater performances include KING JOHN at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, GONE MISSING at City Center (New York Times’ Critic’s Pick), and a co-creator and performer of JUARÉZ: A DOCUMENTARY MYTHOLOGY (International tour). Aysan is a graduate of UCLA and the ART Institute at Harvard, and she was born and raised in California.

    PRODUCER

    Roweena Mackay is an independent film and theatre maker currently teaching at the University of Arizona and Tohono O'odham Community College. Credits include SORRY TO BOTHER YOU (dir. Boots Riley), APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR (dir. Desiree Akhavan), ANYONE BUT ME (dir. Tina Cesa Ward), and PRESUMED INNOCENT (adaptation, in development).

    Chance Falkner is a Los Angeles-based cinematographer that first got his hands on a camera in the small, dusty Arizona town of Buckeye. This has influenced his work in a way that makes it as touchable as it is scenic.

    Summer is a Los Angeles-based actress, editor, and creative. Raised by a family of musicians, coupled with her background in acting, Summer’s ear for tempo & intuitive response to characters lead her to be an unconventional, fastidious, self-taught editor for film, commercials, and music videos. She recently edited 3 seasons of Snapchat’s award winning series TWO SIDES, as well as 4 short films with writer/director Alexis Jacknow: Again (premiering at Tribeca Film Festival), Overnight, Group (Hulu’s WGA nominated series Love Daily), and The One Who Brung You. She's edited over a dozen short films as well as commercials for Google, Better Help, and iFit. Her latest collaboration with Erin C.   • Christina Lorraine Bullard

    COSTUME DESIGNER

    Christina Lorraine Bullard is a costume designer for theatre, dance, opera, and film with a focus on new works as premiered at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, The Joyce Theater, Dance Theatre Workshop, Off-Broadway, the NY Fringe Festival, and internationally. Her work also includes designs for Yale Repertory Theatre, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, HOWL, The Quintessence Theatre Group, The Juilliard School, Hofstra University, Fordham University, and independent film. She additionally presents interdisciplinary workshops with a focus on creative processes and the intersection of the arts and design-thinking.   • Candy Buckley

    ASSOCIATE PRODUCER

    Candy Buckley is the recipient of the Princess Grace Award for Outstanding Achievement in Theater. With her roots in the acting company of the Dallas Theater Center where she did new plays and musicals and Chekhov under the Brechtian mentorship of artistic director Adrian Hall, she was spotted by New Republic critic Robert Brustein in Hall’s adaptation (music by Randy Newman) of ALL THE KING’S MEN and was asked to join Brustein’s company at The American Repertory Theater at Harvard. Arriving in New York 4 seasons later, she played Queen Katarina in the Harold Prince directed musical THE PETRIFIED PRINCE for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award. Five Broadway productions, many off-Broadway productions, many regional, many classics, many new works, including the current BECKY NURSE OF SALEM by Sarah Ruhl at Lincoln Center. Upcoming films: THE KILL ROOM starring Uma Thurman; RARE OBJECTS starring Katie Holmes; and PREPARTUM. TV: WECRASHED; THE AMERICANS, BLUE BLOODS, CRIMINAL INTENT, GOSSIP GIRL, and recurring on TREME.
